i. What is the purpose of including the values 10 and 13 as these values are not printed on output screen?
Ans.
10 and 13 are carriage and line feed services. They are used to go to new line and start of a line.

ii. What is the purpose of writing $ at the end of the string message?

Ans.
$ is terminated string sign used to terminate the string.
