Many techniques are available in the world but it depend on the developer of the e-commerce website that which one he is going to choose to over come this thread.

1. Payment method can be handle from third party like their are many companies like Godaddy which provides all the transaction solution and charge 1% per transaction or the monthly fee.

2. Use SSL(Secure Socket Layer) protocol for the payment method, it also cost monthly fee. It is dedicated to that website and also available in shared.

To save the documents we are going to use the SSL certificate it use encryption algorithm which is widely used all over the world. Now it totally depend on the owner or developer of the website that he/she is going to use it or not.
