PTA Announced Biomatric Sim Verification 2014

Pakistan telecommunication authority (PTA) declared that no sim will be activated in Balochistan and Sindh without biomatric verification after April 1st. Authentic reports have showned that more than 80% crime and terrorism came into being due to unregistered Sims. As PTA announced customer has to present his/her CNIC to sales representative of cellular companies to purchase a sim, after that he/she must have to record thumb impression which will be matched in NADRA's database. After getting the real thumb impression, the customer will be allowed to purchase a new sim.

Note: after April 1st activation through 789 will be discontinued.
