Question No.1 (Marks = 10)
Compare Serial and Parallel Ports. Give any five points in tabular form.
ANS:
Serial Port S for serial & P for parallel Parallel Port
S1-Serial port’s transfer rate is slower than parallel port, One wire, one bit per clock cycle.
P1-Parallel port’s transfer rate is much faster than srerial port, N bits per second on N wires,
S2-It is called Male port & it contains 9-pins & its size is smaller than parallel.
P2-It is called female port & mostly contains 25-holes, & its size is larger than serial.
S3-Serisl port can be used for long transmisson as compared to parallel.
P3-Parallel transmission is only for short distances.
S4-Its programming is tough as compared to parallel port.
P4-Its programming is a bit easy as compared to serial port.
S5-Its connecting cables are cheaper than parallel, because it contains less no of wires and its connector’s size is smaller than parallel
P5-Its connecting cables are expensive than serial, because it contains higher no of wires and its connector’s size is larger than serial.
Question No.2 (Marks = 5)
Write any two situations where audio input is more beneficial than other type (text, image etc) of input approaches?
ANS:
Every one have his/her own voice, it means he/she have his/her own frequency so if some set his/her voice as a security/password,so no one can access his/her account or any kind of info which is under his/her voice security. So it is more benificial than (text, image etc) types of inputs.
It saves the times because typing is slower than voice, every one can use this method either he/she is familier with computers, gadgets or not.
(Example)
Suppose we are driving & we have to make a call, if we have set our cell on Audio input mode, when we ll press the call key phone ll ask us to give input we ll say the contact’s name the cell ll dial the no. of that contact. So it is easy and time saving method.
