ASSIGNMENT:
There are three types of Formal Organizations:
1. Utilitarian organizations.
2. Normative organizations.
3. Coercive organizations.
Chose one organization type and work on it with reference to the below given points.

v Mission of organization
v What kind of services that organization is providing?
SOLUTION:
An organization is a social arrangement which pursues collective goals. Formal
organization is a permanent set of rules of intra-organization events and arrangement. In
some societies and in some organization, such rules may be severely followed in others;
they may be little more than a blank formalism. These organizations have major control
on the everyday lives of members of modern society.
2. NORMATIVE ORGANIZATIONS:
Normative Organization is to follow some objective they think is morally worthwhile.
Sometimes called unpaid associations, these include community service groups i.e.,
Lions Club, Red Crescent and Edhi trust etc. A normative organization is also known as
voluntary organizations, which hold up mutual interests, meet important human needs or
achieve a non-profit goal.
v Name of Organization:
REDO (Rawalpindi Eye Donors Organization).
v Type of Organization:
Eye Donors Organization is a helpful Social Welfare NGO duly registered with
Govt. of Punjab (Pakistan). Established in 1977 in Rawalpindi in the Province of
Punjab, Pakistan with a goal to serve the ailing kindness and to make them full of life
part of the society. All the operating cost are made possible by donations of general
public. This is a type of organization where replacing of effected and diseased with
the healthy eyes or treatment of diseased eyes is done.
v Mission of Organization:
The mission of organization is trying to improve the quality of life of poor and
needy people of the society by providing quality medical cover, professional
training to the handicapped or poor persons to make them income producer.
v What Kind of Services that Organization is Providing:
The kind of services that organization is providing is Quality medical treatment
at specific cost, fund or free to the poor worthy section of the Society. The
organization is providing exchange of healthy eyes instead of their effected eyes
and to stop and heal blindness. Also, the service that this organization is providing
to restore visually handicapped persons in addition to with other disabilities.
A kind of service at last of the organization is providing to communicate
professional training to the disabled as well as women in broad welfare to
facilitate them to become causal citizen of the society
