Virtual University Wins 3rd Position in DICE-INVENT 2014

Virtual University of Pakistan (VU) has secured 3rd position in DICE-INVENT 2014 held at IBA Karachi. The event was hosted by IBA Karachi in collaboration with AMAN Centre for Entrepreneurship (CED). More than 137 teams from various universities across Pakistan participated in the event whereas 19 teams were shortlisted for final presentation in front of a panel.

Project “Icarriage” was prepared by VU’s students named Syed Shahzaman Shah, Muhammad Faisal Ahmed, Abtisam Ahmed Ansari and Asadullah Khan.

The event is conducted every year at IBA-Karachi and is considered as the most versatile and comprehensive entrepreneurial competition. DICE-INVENT differ from other business competitions as it focuses on the prototypes and venture creation.

Overseas Exam Software and related material has been made available for download. Please make sure to install latest exam application available on the link given below. You must follow the sequence of instructions given below for smooth and error free installation:

2. For downloading, login with your VULMS student ID and password
3. Download all material one by one
4. After installation, you must go through the “User Manual” for know how to attempt your paper.
5. An icon will be visible on your desktop. Please double click the icon to run the demo test. You may test your installation by joining any of the following sessions till December 18, 2014 during the specified timings)

Virtual University Workshop on Laravel PHP Framework

Virtual University intends to offer free Workshop on Laravel – PHP Framework for currently enrolled students of 6th Semester onward. Workshop will be conducted by an Experienced Professional from Software Industry to provide in-depth knowledge of the Framework. Primarily Workshop is targeted for the students currently enrolled in Final Year Project but there is no such restriction.

Selection Criteria:

i. Must have basic programming (OOP) and database skills.
ii. Good to have working knowledge of PHP
iii. To pass the Interview to be conducted by Professionals of VU-Software House. Interview will primarily covers topics mentioned in point (i).

Logon using your VULMS ID and Password
(In case of any password related problem contact at password@vu.edu.pk)
Choose Your Exam City in which you want to appear for Exam (optional)
Choose your Exam Center out of the centers available to you
(Once selected, you can not change your Exam Center)
Select available exam date and start time of your own choice for each of your courses, then click “Confirm” button to confirm your selection. The dates/sessions once selected shall NOT be changed.
Repeat the Step-4 for all your remaining courses one by one.
